Gitgit Waterfall
Stunning waterfall in the pristine jungle of northern Bali
One of Bali's most popular waterfalls, Gitgit Waterfall is easily accessible from the main road between Bedugul and Singaraja. The waterfall is frequently featured as a highlight of trekking excursions and a tourist halt on tours to Lovina Beach and the island's northern region.
With a wooden boardwalk spanning a tiny gorge and refreshing streams, Gitgit waterfall is also a relatively easy hike. It's a 10-kilometer journey south of Singaraja, North Bali's main town, or an 80-kilometer drive north of Kuta.
Features of Bali's Gitgit Waterfall

After a few minutes of hiking down into the verdant valley, you'll arrive at the base and be greeted by the sight of the 40-meter-high cascade that cascades into a rocky pool below. You can take a refreshing dip at the pool or simply view the scenery, which is guarded by a modest shrine nearby.
Locals call the falls the 'twin falls,' or Air Terjun Kembar Gitgit, since the flow is frequently split into two equal streams. Another neighboring waterfall, Mekalongan, which is a continuation of Gitgit's riverbed, can be explored further. Gitgit runs all year, with the water being clearer during the dry season.
