Goa Rang Reng Waterfall

In the Bali hills, there is a jewel called Goa Rang Reng Waterfall. The waterfall is around four kilometers from the village center, nestled in amongst stunning rice terraces. Visitors can take a dip in the sizable pool of cool water at the base of the waterfall after a leisurely ten-minute walk from the parking lot. Local ladies particularly enjoy visiting this location for spiritual purification.

Where exactly is the Rang Reng?

While the majority of visitors to Ubud, Bali, are so to view the temples and the picturesque surroundings, I have always been curious to see the Rang Reng waterfall. My friend recently told me that it was situated at the Rangkiang Kanginan Village, which is about 17 kilometers north of UBUD and close to Seminyak. After a ten-minute journey through the forest in the humid and hot weather, I arrived at a location called "Migrogas," where three sizable waterfalls were gracefully flowing streams. I had gone there with no idea of what or how much I would be able to envision the waterfalls.

The Rang Reng waterfall in Ubud, Bali, how to get there?

The trek to Rang Reng is an experience in and of itself, but once you get there, you'll understand why the Balinese refer to it as "The Hidden Paradise." We advise using a local bus or driving since it's 10 kilometers east of Ubud (it takes about 1 hour). Upon arrival, follow these directions to reach the falls: Depending on your level of fitness, the descent to the base takes about 15-20 minutes.
