Padang Padang Beach ( Labuan Sait )

Hidden Cliff Surfing Beach

Padang Padang Beach is a well-known surf destination in Bali. This beach on the north-western shore of the island's Bukit Peninsula, known locally as Pantai Labuan Sait, offers an intriguing setting – a gorgeous 100-meter-long strip of sand accessible down a flight of stairs and through a distinctive hollow rock entrance. During ideal weather, the surf has a consistent series of barrels, attracting wave surfers from all over the world.

Padang Padang Beach is located between Bingin and Uluwatu and is part of a set of world-class surf breaks that border the southern peninsula of Bali's coast. It's part of a chain of beaches that surfers frequent to have a different set of challenges and a different excitement for the day. International surfing competitions, like as the Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang, are held on this beach on a regular basis.

How to Get it ?
Head up Jalan Raya Uluwatu to get to the beach. A crossroads with signage that clearly indicate 'Jalan Labuan Sait' leads you through a hilly but smooth 3.5-kilometer asphalt route around 30 minutes beyond the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. With its rise to reputation as a surfing destination, this region has grown significantly. It's now flanked with surf stores, surf hostels, and clean, western-style cafés geared at surfers. The beach is located down the hill and across the road from a large parking lot. A bridge joins the two sides of the limestone cliff before this, providing a view down to the beach from above. A temple halfway down the flight of stairs overlooks the surf, and playful grey long-tailed macaques can be seen playing around the stairs on the Balinese gapura gate or high up in the acacia trees on occasion. Padang Padang Beach was included in the 2010 big-screen rendition of Eat, Pray, Love as a romantic location.
The Sand of Padang padang beach
A beautiful scene awaits you at the bottom of the stairs: a fringed beach with fine, white sand, azure waves, and a distant horizon. If you don't have your own surfboard, you can rent one here, but be aware that the waves here break over shallow coral and are not appropriate for novices. Although skilled surfers may only ride the big waves beyond the reef breaks, the beach is perfect for family enjoyment and relaxation. On Padang Padang Beach, there are local warungs that serve light meals and snacks. Sandcastles, splashing, sunbathing, resting down with a nice book beneath a parasol, or simply sitting back and taking in the scenery are all welcome.
