Panglipuran Traditional Village
a village of back to nature and ancestor reminder
Panglipuran village is a lovely highland village in East Bali's Bangli region, recognized for its well-preserved layout and culture. While the majority of its occupants have accepted modernity, the individual compounds have been meticulously maintained to maintain their medieval appearance. The solitary stone-paved lane that runs through the heart of the town, leading to the local temple, is lined with well-kept gardens, and each house is hidden behind age-old arched entrance gates and walls.
Penglipuran village has evolved into a community-based tourism destination throughout time. To enter the town, you'll need to purchase a ticket, and some inhabitants have stores inside their homes. The town, which is conveniently located along the same route as the beautiful rim of Mount Batur crater and the settlement of Kintamani, is a highlight for visits to the island's eastern section.
