Sekumpul Waterfall

magical breeze, hypnotized scenery

Known as 'Bali's Best Waterfall,' it features seven hidden waterfalls nestled in the calm of a valley, surrounded by thick jungle and a serene ambiance.
Sekumpul Waterfall, also known as Air Terjun Sekumpul, is a group of seven tall, misty waterfalls in one place, making it one of Bali's most magnificent cascades.
Each of the seven waterfalls has its own unique beauty, form, and height, making them the most beautiful waterfalls on the island of Bali.
You'll think you've landed in the Lost World when you see Sekumpul Waterfall. The landscape is lush and green, and the falls are massive, giving it a prehistoric vibe.
You can rest and escape from your busyness where the air is really fresh, which will, of course, make you feel serene and all your problems will go.

If you're traveling north of Bali and want to stop by at Sekumpul waterfall, here are the complete information you should to know :

What to Anticipate Waterfall Sekumpul
As previously said, Sekumpul Waterfall is unique among Bali's waterfalls. It consists of seven waterfalls in one place, rather than one or two. Two fallen waterfalls and the source of a waterfall are surrounded by verdant trees that cover the hill's surface. Each of these waterfalls has its own personality and origins. There is only one flowing waterfall in the first waterfall. Other waterfalls, like this one, are common and originate from a mountain spring. The second waterfall, which is higher than the first, has a waterfall shape that dangles like a mosquito net and originates from a river's stream. The freshness of the water falling from an 80-meter height, as well as the lush foliage, will astonish and enchant anyone who visits these waterfalls. Even yet, getting down here requires a lot of effort, with paths consisting of dirt tracks, a hundred or so steps, and stream crossings, but it's all worth it when you reach the waterfall.
Address & Directions to Sekumpul Waterfall
The Sekumpul Waterfall is located in Sekumpul village, Sawan district, Buleleng regency, in Bali's northern area. The village is around a 2.5 to 3 hour drive southeast of Lovina Beach and 2.5 to 3 hours southeast of Denpasar.
What is the best way to get to Sekumpul Waterfall?
To reach Sekumpul Waterfall, travel to Sekumpul village in Bali's northern region. It takes 2.5 to 3 hours by car or scooter to get from Kuta to center Lovina, which is 18 kilometers southeast of Singaraja and 27 kilometers from Kuta. You can still visit Sekumpul waterfall if you're traveling from Ubud, Seminyak, or another area further away, though you'll probably want to hire a driver rather than take the long bike trip! The best way to get to this adventurous tourist location is to hire a car and driver for USD 40 - USD 45 for a full day tour. If you enjoy riding scooters, scooter rental shops may be found almost anywhere in the main tourist areas of Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu. With a full tank of gas, the scooters may be rented for $5 to $10 per day. This is my fave mode of transportation around Bali because it is inexpensive and allows you to stop wherever and whenever you choose! As you go through the hills of Bedugul, the road becomes increasingly curvy and hilly, making it a popular route for trucks and other commuting vehicles. So please be cautious and only overtake if you believe it is safe to do so. On the side of the road, there are some spectacular views that are well worth stopping for.
Ubud or Seminyak's Sekumpul Waterfall
You can still visit Sekumpul waterfall if you're traveling from Ubud, Seminyak, or another area further away, though you'll probably want to hire a driver rather than take the long bike trip! This would necessitate a long day trip, as that is the only thing you would have time to do. According to Google Maps, it takes two hours, but it will most likely take much longer, especially if you are riding a less than brave scooter!
Sekumpul Waterfall Entrance Charge
Like most natural sites in Bali, visitors to Sekumpul Waterfall must pay a 20,000 IDR entry fee per person, which can be paid at a tiny booth in the village. A local trekking association offers guided treks across the area, with the disclaimer that if you don't engage a guide, you're on your own risk. Although it would be possible to reach the first falls without a guide, we felt that having a guide helped us navigate the trails and multiple river crossings to the second group of falls, where the track wasn't as evident. A short trip (two hours), a medium trek (three hours), and a long walk (three hours) cost 150,000 IDR, 200,000 IDR, and 350,000 IDR, respectively, for a group of up to four trekkers.
When is the best time to go to Sekumpul Waterfall?
The greatest time to see Sekumpul Waterfall is between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun is shining brightly through the valley. Visit during Bali's rainy season, which runs from October to April, to experience the falls at their most powerful. If you visit around this season, be cautious on the way down because the stairs may be wet and there may be slick pebbles. The falls are still spectacular throughout the dry season, which runs from May to September. A nice compromise is to visit in April or May, when the falls will still be very powerful but the weather will be more pleasant.
The Sekumpul Waterfall Walk
From the vehicle area, the trek to the waterfall is straightforward. Following it around will lead you to a set of steps that will take you the majority of the way to the falls. Soon after you start down, there will be a tiny path on your left that leads to a spectacular Sekumpul viewpoint. The lovely waterfall and its setting among the surrounding landscape can be fully appreciated from this vantage point. Continue down the stairs after you've taken a few shots here. You'll come to a fork in the road and have to choose whether to turn left or right. Continue to the right, where you will see a bridge that will take you across the river. If you turn left, you'll have to walk across the river. After crossing the bridge, turn left and stroll to the foot of the waterfall, which is only a short distance away. At this point, you'll have to get your feet wet, so either remove your shoes or bring proper footwear!
Height of Sekumpul Waterfall
Sekumpul Waterfall is around 100 meters tall, and it is also known as Gerombong Waterfall. This is not the only water-draining waterfall. Two waterfalls, on the other hand, are rushing down. Because of the height, we can see the waterfalls from afar before entering the waterfall region. Consequently, throughout the rainy season, the first waterfalls remain clean, but the second waterfall becomes murky and brown.
