In many respects, Ubud is Bali's cultural center. This quaint country town features royal palaces and historic temples and is home to one of Bali's royal dynasties. Hundreds of art studios and galleries line the main street, as well as a fantastic local crafts market selling antiques, woodcarvings, crafts, textiles, paintings, and jewelry.
Tegenungan Waterfall, Ubud Monkey Forest, and the beautiful Tegallalang rice terrace are all within a short drive of Ubud. Take a day excursion to one of the local villages, such as Campuhan, Penestanan, Peliatan, or Batuan, to witness how locals make and sell unique Balinese products.
Exploring ancient temples, stately royal palaces, and lush hillsides and rice terraces are among the greatest things to do in Ubud. This Balinese town and its environs inside the Gianyar district are a treasure mine of cultural landmarks where some of the world's most notable artisans and collectors have visited and worked.
The main Jalan Raya Ubud is home to the majority of the local museums and galleries. Within a short drive of the town center, there are numerous natural landscapes and attractions. The Ubud Monkey Forest and the beautiful Tegallalang rice terrace are two prominent and obvious attractions in Ubud.
